Court Strikes Down Landmarks Law

BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Crain's Chicago just reported at 5 p.m. on 01.30.09:

"An Illinois appellate court has struck down the city of Chicago's landmarks ordinance, saying it is unconstitutionally vague, putting in jeopardy the city's protection of more than 250 buildings and 50 historic districts."

Olympic Forum - Impact on Lincoln Park

The Lincoln Park Advisory Council (LPAC) will sponsor a forum on the Olympic Games and their impact on Lincoln Park. There will be two speakers; Gyata Kimmons, Director of Community Relations for the Chicago 2016 Committee, and Dr. Allen Sanderson, Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Economics at the University of Chicago.

Children's Memorial Hospital Redevelopment Meeting

The 2nd Public Meeting regarding the inevitable redevelopment of the current 43rd Ward site of Children's Memorial Hospital was held on Thursday, Jan. 8th. The meeting featured an Initial Findings Report and a Keypad Polling segment. All the highlights will be available on the following blog:
